Certified companies are entitled to use the Amber Chamber’s logo for promotional and advertising purposes. The Chamber’s remit is to protect the market against monopolisation and dumping, as well as against counterfeits and imitations of Baltic amber, and to represent its member businesses in dealings with central government and local authorities. The Chamber is involved in promoting Baltic amber on the world stage by raising awareness of its exceptional beauty, its healing properties and its ability to preserve traces of past life, as well as the role it has played in human culture since time immemorial. The Amber Chamber works alongside public authorities on the future prospects for the use of Polish amber deposits and cooperates with other countries possessing this raw material in order to prevent its depreciation on the global market.

It organises cooperation between business entities, as well as with institutions and individuals active in the scientific and artistic spheres. It promotes the activities and publicises the achievements of its members both at home and abroad. It provides information on economic and artistic trends in Poland and worldwide. The Amber Chamber frequently collaborates with Polish embassies and economic and trade departments to organise trips for its members to trade fairs and as part of economic missions. The number of members of the Amber Chamber continues to grow. The Chamber’s greatest success was the organisation of the Polish national stand at the I.H.M. trade fair in Munich, a task entrusted to us by the Department of Economic Promotion of the Ministry of Economy.

In addition to carrying out our own promotional activities and those entrusted to us by the Ministry of Economy and the WEH in Munich, we achieved a positive financial result for the Chamber. Our collaboration with the organiser of the ‘Gold, Silver, Time’ trade fair in Warsaw should be regarded as highly successful. We have granted honorary patronage to this fair, and our representative, as a member of the Programme Council, takes part in all the fair’s events and serves on the competition juries. Additional highlights during our presentations include demonstrations of amber craftsmanship, women’s fashion combined with amber jewellery, and lectures on amber, during which we present Gdańsk as the world capital of amber.
